This is, hands down, one of the most beautiful beautiful beautiful festival sites I have ever seen. Ahhhhhhhh. I saw that they were taking on volunteers and tried to find tickets to Bulgaria in time. But not a lot of planes go there from Amsterdam. In fact, I checked tickets to Plovdiv Airport, the nearest airport to the festival, and literally got back zero results. The vibe, the dedication to art, I feel. (I know I say 'I feel' things a lot but I judge a lot of things based on feeling. Sometimes if ja feel, ja feel.)
But until next year, Meadows!!
For now, please enjoy these lovingly captured screenshots from their website. I captured them this way so that they could remain in my heart year after year, even if the winds change and the land erodes and the site is transformed.
Their home page:
And then as you scroll down, some wickedly dastard sorcery pushes these dark purple trees from the bottom of the screen. WITCHCRAFT!!
They even drew their own little map of the festival grounds that you can zoom into and see what houses have been reserved and all!!
And this is their lil volunteer form, of which I will hopefully one day fill in. :)
All screenshots are sourced from their website and, in fact, I encourage you to just experience the magic for yourself: Meadows in the Mountains
